The upcoming film, titled SSMB29 for now, will feature Mahesh Babu in the lead role and has been penned by Rajamouli’s father, writer Vijayendra Prasad. Recently, rumours surfaced about American-born Indonesian actor Chelsea Islan joining the cast. The question of who Chelsea Islan is, has arisen among the fans.
Chelsea Islan was born in Queens, New York, to an Indonesian mother and an American father. She relocated to Indonesia for her education. In 2013, she made her debut in the movie Refrain alongside Afgansyah Reza and Maudy Ayunda. But she gained fame through the popular sitcom Tetangga Masa Gitu, which aired from 2014 to 2017. Her most recent film, released in 2020, was May the Devil Take You Too. So far, the actress has appeared in Indonesian films and shows.
She later gained widespread recognition with the action film Street Society and the biographical film Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar. The actress is soon going to star in the upcoming films including Godam & Tira and Sebelum Iblis Menjemput Ayat 3: Dajjal.

While speculation has been rampant about Chelsea Islan joining the star-studded cast, particularly after she began following Rajamouli on Instagram, the film’s production team has clarified that these rumours are unfounded.
